Wendy Young Photography | Jesus

I was raised along the Gulf Coast of Florida where I was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola. Every Sunday and most Wednesday nights I was there learning about Jesus. Street preachers and “Jesus Saves” signs were everyday icons to me. Leaving the area made me realize that these icons are not ordinary.

I wonder about the people that place “Jesus Saves” and “Repent” signs on the roadside. Do they think that someone will receive Salvation or turn from Evil because of these signs? How could such a personal and intimate decision be made while traveling 65 miles an hour?

Then I remember the story of Saul’s journey on the road to Damascus; how he was converted and became the Apostle Paul, one of Christianity’s greatest figures. The road can be a place for sudden and drastic change.
